Markverkstad Öst (Mv Öst) is a unit within the Army Staff, which performs maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment, air base equipment, and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation. The Markverkstad unit delivers services according to customer requirements.

Mv Öst has about 80 employees who operate in Kvarn, Eksjö, and Linköping.

Main Responsibilities

As an automotive mechanic at Mv Öst Kvarn, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles used within the Armed Forces, such as trucks, construction machinery, combat vehicles, and heavier military vehicles. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance as well as modification and reconstruction based on established guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• At least completed and finalized two- or three-year high school with a focus on automotive technology or equivalent, or skills acquired through work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Previous experience working with vehicles in a similar field
• Computer proficiency
• At least a B driver's license.

Meritorious

• Armed Forces mechanic training on any vehicle system
• C or CE driver's license
• Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and material maintenance in the Armed Forces
• Experience in vehicle maintenance
• AC cooling training with qualifications
• Forklift license
• Welding skills

Other

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period. Employment rate: full-time, daytime – varying working hours may occur. Work location: Kvarn. Start date: As soon as agreed upon.

The job also requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian appointment.
