Train Drivers for Hourly Employment at VR Öresundståg

We at VR Öresundståg are now looking for more train drivers for hourly employment who are passionate about providing our passengers with a great experience and a safe journey with us!

About the Job:

At VR Öresundståg, we offer you a position with a competitive salary, secure employment with a collective agreement, as well as wellness and shoe allowances regardless of employment form.

Your employment with us begins with an internal training starting on March 16th and lasts for 2-6 weeks depending on previous experience. During this period, you need to be available full-time.

As a train driver, you are expected to work weekdays as well as weekends and at all hours of the day. The scheduling is regulated according to the collective agreement, regulations, traffic, and your availability. We expect you to be available for work at least two weekends a month and during the period from June to September.

At VR Öresundståg, we obviously have a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs.

Your Background and Skills

To be considered for a position with us, a valid train driver’s license and good references from previous railway companies or other employers are required. Previous experience as a train driver is an advantage. Since the position in Malmö partially involves driving in Denmark, we also see it as an advantage if you have knowledge of Danish. Of course, you also meet the other requirements and regulations set by the Swedish Transport Agency.

Requirements include good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form. You should also have the ability to understand Danish, as part of the driving occurs in Denmark.
