Aviator Airport Services is currently looking for airport staff for Malmö Airport.

Are you curious about what happens behind the scenes at the airport? Do you want to contribute to flights departing on time? Are you a person who enjoys physical work?

Aviator is currently seeking several airport staff members who will be part of the operational activities responsible for the work surrounding an aircraft's arrival and departure. We are currently offering a temporary position with hourly pay. The first training course is expected to start in March, but additional courses may be held as needed.

As an airport staff member, you will be part of our ramp service department, where we ensure that passengers' baggage is loaded, transported, and unloaded within specified time frames in a safe and service-oriented manner. By following airline-specific procedures, you prioritize our customers and their needs in everything you do, always with safety in focus.

As an airport staff member, you are responsible for:

🛫 Loading and unloading baggage and cargo in aircraft

🛫 Performing transport on the ramp

🛫 Sorting baggage

🛫 Applying and following airline rules and procedures

🛫 Performing other ramp services according to customer requests, such as warming up aircraft, power supply, start-up, etc.

To thrive and succeed in the role of airport staff member, you need to be service-oriented and accustomed to using your body as your primary working tool.

You are a flexible and communicative person, a team player, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

The job requires you to be meticulous, safety-conscious, and responsible for following guidelines and procedures even when the pace is high.

Qualifications for the role:

  • You need to have the willingness and ability to work various shifts, and you must be able to get to and from the airport at all hours of the day.

  • You must be at least 18 years old.

  • You need to have a driver's license, category B.

  • You should have good health and physical fitness.

  • You have a good ability to express yourself in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

  • You should have completed high school or another equivalent education with passing grades.

  • You must have a clean criminal record.

  • You should have good computer skills.

It is a plus if you also:

  • Have previous experience from the ramp, in service, or in a security-classified profession.

  • If you have previously worked shifts and/or early mornings.

Requirements during the recruitment process

Since the work in this role is performed in a security-classified area, you will need to undergo a security clearance during the recruitment process:

  • Extract from the criminal record without remarks.

  • Approved background check from the Transport Agency.

  • Approved security clearance interview.

  • Certificates verifying your employment over the last 5 years. Copies of certificates, grades, employment certificates, certificates, etc., will need to be submitted during the recruitment process.

    Good to know: Of course, we will ensure that you receive an introductory training with us in the first weeks. The training combines theoretical and practical elements so that you can get comfortable in your role as an airport staff member.

    The position as an airport staff member requires you to work shifts. This means you will have varying working hours, with shifts that can start early in the morning or late in the evening/night, both on weekdays and weekends. Therefore, you must always be able to get to and from the airport regardless of the time of day.
