Do you want to use your occupational therapy skills where they truly make a difference? With us, you will help create meaningful days for our participants!

Your New Job

As an occupational therapist with us, you play a key role in creating and maintaining safe, meaningful, and individualized activities for our participants.

You are responsible for occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, goal setting, and follow-ups, as well as for the provision of assistive devices within daily activities.

You will work as the sole occupational therapist in the unit, closely collaborating with two support pedagogues. You also have an occupational therapist colleague in the neighboring unit within the same building and access to a network of an additional four occupational therapists in daily activities. Together with the support pedagogues in the unit, you will support the operations in matters related to activities, structure, and adaptations to provide participants with the best possible daily life. The work includes both individual and group-based interventions, as well as receiving new participants and creating their initial implementation plans.

The role includes contact with relatives, habilitation services, the assistive technology center, and the network for occupational therapists. You will guide colleagues in training programs, lead operational meetings, and be responsible for participant APT. If necessary, you will support communication with visual aids and signs, and you will document according to HSL.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience in prescribing assistive devices. Engelbrekt's daily activities focus on individuals with intellectual disabilities and NPF, so it is advantageous if you have previously worked with this target group.

You need good computer skills and to be proficient in Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension to handle documentation and communication. It is desirable if you have previously worked with IBIC and in the Combine system, as well as having a B driver's license.

As an occupational therapist, you take initiative and drive the work forward with a professional and solution-oriented approach. You are flexible and can quickly adapt interventions and methods according to the changing needs of the participants. Through a warm and secure approach, you build good relationships with participants, relatives, and colleagues. In your professional role, you contribute with clear and secure communication and guide colleagues in methods and approaches when needed. You work in a structured manner, create order, and maintain a clear direction in both planning and implementation of occupational therapy interventions.
