The Service Office is Borås City's internal resource for both technical and administrative services. We work in an efficient and business-like manner - without our own budget allocation - where each assignment is carried out and invoiced according to agreements and arrangements. We have about 450 dedicated employees who keep Borås functioning in everyday life. Among other things, we ensure that all employees in Borås City receive their salaries, that residents have clean water and functioning sewage systems, and that our roads, lawns, and properties are intact, safe, and well-maintained. The Department of Contracting consists of just over 130 employees and is divided into four areas, including operations and projects within construction, water and sewage, and district heating, trucking, park, and land maintenance. Our department also includes Borås City's operational crisis management resource. The Park unit contributes to a good everyday life for our residents by caring for the outdoor environment in Borås City. For the spring, summer, and autumn seasons, we are now looking for park landscapers. Start date will be in April/May by agreement. The employment period is 5 months, with the possibility of extension, but no later than 2026-11-30.

Park Landscaper Seasonal Job Responsibilities

You will primarily work with the maintenance and new establishment of Borås City's green areas and park environments according to technical descriptions and map data.

The work is physically demanding and involves a lot of weeding, planting, watering, pruning, and maintenance of seasonal plants, perennial plantings, hedges, bushes, paths, and other areas. The work involves using machines such as; grass trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, hand tools, loaders, and vehicles.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 6:45 AM to 4:00 PM.

You have a gardening education or other equivalent green education and/or work experience in green environments.

You also have:

·B driver's license

·Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written

·High school education

·Basic computer skills

·Plant knowledge and interest in plant care

Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have:

·Post-secondary education in park or equivalent competence

·Knowledge of pruning

·Certification for motor/brush saw

·Certification for aerial lift

·Certification for loader
