Air Traffic Controller Wanted at ATS Halmstad
Do you want to contribute your skills as an air traffic controller? We are now looking for an air traffic controller for intermittent employment at ATS Halmstad.
ATS Halmstad is part of the TWR/APP group of the Swedish Armed Forces and provides approach control services in Halmstad TMA as well as airport control services at Halmstad Airport. The operations are conducted around the clock, and duty can occur at any time of the day, every day of the week.
The Operations department delivers air traffic services for civil and military aviation. The operations include operational air traffic control services, flight briefing services, flight weather services, and communication services. Additionally, operational support services for air traffic service production and the aviation sector are provided, including training, flight planning, data analysis, information supply, and various types of safety work. Operations deliver services to the Armed Forces' airports, private, municipal, and state airports, as well as to airlines and civil/military pilots. Operations is also the Armed Forces' contact point towards LFV.
About the Position
You will work as an Operational Air Traffic Controller at ATS Halmstad, but duty at Entry Point North (EPN) and FFL in Halmstad may also occur. Since the operations are rule-based, you are always responsible for keeping yourself updated and following applicable regulations and guidelines. In your position as an Operational Air Traffic Controller, you will participate in established activities, operational and training days, ATS meetings, and competency assurance programs. Your role also includes serving as an instructor in operational service as needed by the organization, as well as at EPN and in LFV's training activities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an air traffic controller certificate with qualifications and endorsements ADI/TWR+RAD, APS, and APP
- Has held qualifications at ATS Halmstad in the last 6 months
- Has an approved language proficiency endorsement
- Has a valid Class III medical certificate
- Is a Swedish citizen
It is advantageous if you have:
- Military Advanced Training
- MET-observation training
- Previous experience as an instructor
Additional Information
The position is an intermittent employment from as soon as possible until December 31, 2026, located at ATS Halmstad. Duty will be scheduled by agreement between the employer and the employee. The stationing location is Halmstad.
Before employment, we conduct a security clearance, which includes a background check, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
