About the Job

Service Meal and Local Care is Lidköping Municipality's Meal and Local Care Organization responsible for all meals within preschool, school, high school, and elderly care, as well as performing all local care within the municipality's operations.

We prepare about 9,500 portions per day and clean nearly 250,000 square meters across the municipality. In total, we are about 220 employees.

You will work closely with all our different operations, where we see that you work to inspire your guests to try new things but also contribute to increased understanding of all perspectives around food. We see the meal as an important part of the day as it contributes to energy and can also help create security and recovery during the day. We who work within the municipality's Meal Operations want to contribute to children and the elderly having a positive experience during meals. You will have great opportunities for development and to influence the work.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of our knowledgeable resource team, which means you will get to know and work in most of our kitchens when the need arises due to the absence of regular staff. It is important that you are self-sufficient and ready to take on significant responsibility. Computer skills are a requirement as orders, self-control, and statistics are managed digitally.

Who are you?

We see that you have a three-year high school education; large kitchen and chef training or equivalent. If you have experience working in a large kitchen, we see it as an advantage. We see that you have good knowledge of special diets. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have basic knowledge of the Office suite, email, and similar programs. You have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

We want you to be service-oriented and stress-resistant, as well as having good collaboration and communication skills. You should be able to perform tasks independently, take your own initiatives, and be flexible. Personal suitability is highly valued.
