You will be part of the central organization for Meals, Cleaning, and Caretaking in the School Administration, which is divided into 14 areas with a unit manager for each area. In each area, there are cleaning coordinators and a head chef who will lead and support you in your daily work. Your placement will be in area 12, at Kärnhuset Preschool in Hestra.

Meal Staff/Cleaner at Kärnhuset Preschool

Job Responsibilities

The position is a combination of working as meal staff and cleaner. You will have a varied workday and distribute your time between tasks based on the needs of the operation. As meal staff, you are the chef's right hand and assist with the tasks that occur in a kitchen. You will, among other things, prepare salads, organize snacks, and handle cleaning and dishwashing in connection with meals. As a cleaner, you will perform all tasks related to cleaning and help create both comfort and a healthy environment. Based on your area of responsibility, you will work together with others but also independently carry out your work.

Qualifications

For this position, we prefer that you have experience in similar tasks, such as meal assistant and/or cleaner. We also prefer that you have a high school education as a meal and restaurant assistant and/or have completed PRYL cleaning training, be certified according to SRY, or have an apprenticeship in cleaning. 

Since the position involves both documentation and communication, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. For the job, you also need to be able to perform the physical tasks required by the duties.

As a person, you are flexible and solution-oriented and can plan and organize your work based on unforeseen events. You are responsible, self-driven, and perform your tasks independently. You are curious by nature, eager to develop your knowledge to contribute to the needs of the operation, and open to new working methods and approaches. Since you meet many people during your workday, you have a positive attitude towards your surroundings and a service-oriented approach focused on ensuring that children and staff in preschool and primary school have a good experience of safety and study peace.
