The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, based in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's activities rest on four pillars – development, education, workshop, and war unit production. For the Armed Forces' units to operate, they need functioning equipment, and FMTS plays an important role in this.

FMTS has a functional responsibility for technical services within the Armed Forces, which includes following technological developments to anticipate future needs and also suggesting changes and improvements.

Here, there are exciting development opportunities for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical services across all branches of the armed forces. In addition, soldiers are trained in logistics.

FMTS operates throughout Sweden, from Revingehed in the south to Boden in the north. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both in large and small ways, both at home and around the world.

The Swedish Armed Forces have a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good conditions for internal career mobility, wellness, and a good balance between work and private life.

A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. With employment comes an obligation to be placed in a war situation. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the extent of this varies depending on the type of position.
