Sales Area Manager – Export

Do you want to work internationally with technical sales where business development and long-term customer relationships are at the center? We are now looking for a Sales Area Manager – Export who wants to take clear business responsibility and develop new applications for Backer Calesco's products in international markets.

About the role

In the role of Sales Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development within your market segments. The role is individual and business-driven, with a large degree of autonomy.

The entrepreneurial aspect of the role is not about building companies – but about your ability to identify new needs and applications for Backer Calesco's products together with customers and partners.

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies within your business segments

  • Identify and develop new applications and uses for Backer Calesco's products

  • Create, build, and maintain international customer and partner networks

  • Drive the entire sales process – from needs analysis to closing

  • Develop business with both new and existing customers

  • Initiate and manage projects with a focus on long-term profitability

  • Plan, book, and conduct international customer visits and document in travel reports

  • Represent the company at trade fairs, customer events, and industry contexts

  • Collaborate closely with technology, production, and other internal functions

  • Update CRM, sales forecasts, and budget

  • Propose credit limits and payment terms and participate in the follow-up of customer receivables

  • Follow up on complaints and customer satisfaction

Your background

  • Experience from a similar technical sales or business development role

  • Preferably an academic technical education in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, or materials – or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in any of these areas is an advantage: Railway, HVAC, Battery, Food, and Industry.

  • Good understanding of business economics and commercial law

  • Proficient user of the Office suite and business systems/CRM

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • German is an advantage

  • Driver's license B
