Unit Manager for Regular Housing

Södertälje should be a safe municipality to grow old in. More and more people are living longer, and the number of elderly is increasing, which places demands on a functioning welfare system. One of our most important tasks moving forward is to continue developing elderly care by leading, developing, and ensuring good quality of innovative care and support.

Within regular housing, the goal is to increase the amount of time we spend with our clients while ensuring that employees have good working conditions, relevant skills, and education. We will also strengthen preventive work concerning the elderly to reduce involuntary loneliness.

The digital development places increased demands on employees' skills. We integrate digital aids as a natural part of the work and implement targeted efforts to strengthen digital competence among all staff. Digital competence is a prerequisite for quality, efficiency, and a sustainable work environment.

Your mission

We are now looking for experienced unit managers for the night patrol, Regular Housing. The night patrol in Södertälje municipality performs night interventions for all recipients of home care in the municipality, including those who have chosen private providers. The area of Regular Housing includes day activities, the preventive unit, and home care. You will be responsible for finances, work environment, and quality.

You will have personnel responsibility for the nursing assistants and care assistants working in the unit, as well as for a team leader who manages the administrative part of daily planning. You will be part of the management team for Regular Housing, which consists of two area managers, fourteen unit managers, and a business developer.

To thrive in the position of unit manager, we believe you have good collaboration and initiative skills. You are outgoing and clear in your communication, as well as humble and have an easy time building trust. You have the ability to create structure, order, and clarity.

Requirements:
- University education with a focus on care and support or health care, or equivalent education as assessed by the employer
- Experience in a managerial role from an employer and leadership perspective
- Experience working as a manager in regular housing
- Leadership training that the employer assesses as relevant for the position, occupational health training
- Experience with budget responsibility
- Good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- B driver's license

- Experience working in a politically governed organization
- Experience leading change work
- Experience in preventive work
- Experience working as a manager in regular housing
