Job Description
Do you want to use your technical skills to help develop Blixtra's next generation of electric vehicle workshops? We are building a new model for service, repair, and support of electric cars and hybrids in Sweden, developed from the ground up for electric drive and with technology at the forefront. The goal is to make electric vehicle ownership safer, more predictable, and sustainably long-term.
At Blixtra, it's not about replacing the entire system as soon as something goes wrong. Instead, we work, as far as it is safe and possible, with repairs at the component level. Through in-depth troubleshooting, standardized processes, and quality assurance, costs can be lowered, resource waste minimized, and the vehicle's lifespan extended without compromising safety.
Blixtra is now opening a new workshop in Södertälje that will serve as the company's flagship workshop in Sweden. For this initiative, we are now looking for a workshop manager technician who wants to be involved from the start. The role combines practical work in the workshop with responsibility for daily operations. You will work hands-on with troubleshooting and repairs of electric cars and hybrids, often in technically complex cases related to batteries, drivetrains, and control systems. Many tasks require analysis, dialogue, and planning rather than quick standard solutions.
As the workshop manager, you are also a central part of the workshop's flow. You handle customer dialogue, bookings, and quotation processes, and you help shape routines, working methods, and safety processes. The owners are closely involved in daily operations and provide both technical and operational support.
The role is partly shaped by who you are. Initially, there will be two technicians in the workshop, and over time the team will expand with more technicians, giving you the opportunity to take on greater responsibility if you wish.
This is a direct recruitment where you will be employed directly by Blixtra.
Scope: Full-time
Location: Södertälje
Your Profile
You are a technician at heart and have worked for several years with electric and hybrid vehicles in a workshop environment. You have practical experience with high-voltage systems and are comfortable working with advanced troubleshooting and technically complex problems.
You do not need to have held a formal managerial role before, but you are ready to take responsibility and take the next step in your career. Here is an opportunity for you with deep technical knowledge to use it in a larger context and help build and develop a business over time. You enjoy combining technical work with planning, customer contact, and coordination and see the value in contributing both operationally and strategically.
We believe that you:
• have several years of experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles
• have education and practical experience with high-voltage systems
• enjoy in-depth troubleshooting and working methodically at the component level
• are communicative and comfortable in technical dialogues with customers and insurance companies
• are curious, structured, and thrive in an environment that is still taking shape
Long experience in itself is not a requirement. What is most important is the right technical foundation, a strong interest in electricity and high-voltage technology, and the willingness to develop and be part of a really exciting journey where you have the opportunity to influence, take responsibility, and build something new from scratch.
About the Company
Blixtra is building the future's independent workshop chain for electric cars and hybrids, developed from the ground up for electric drive and with technology in focus. We help individuals, businesses, and insurance companies solve everything from everyday faults to advanced technical problems.
Instead of replacing entire battery packs, drivetrains, or other large systems, Blixtra works as far as it is safe and possible with repairs at the component level. Through in-depth troubleshooting, standardized repair processes, and quality assurance, advanced repairs become available in a safe and transparent manner.
Blixtra started from the insight that far too many electric cars risk being scrapped or facing unreasonably expensive repairs when the battery or drivetrain malfunctions. With backgrounds in electrical engineering, technical physics, high-voltage systems, and many years of workshop management experience, there is solid technical expertise in the company. This knowledge is now systematically being integrated into methods, processes, and workshops that can be scaled to more locations.
The Södertälje workshop is an important step in this initiative and will become a hub for how Blixtra's workshop model will look in the future.
