Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a Sous Chef who will be important for our restaurant operations at Scandinavium.

As a Sous Chef at Scandinavium, you have the opportunity to enhance our guests' visits through your passion for cooking. Together with a team that is passionate about gastronomy, we create experiences with quality, whether it’s a five-course menu or a buffet service in one of our restaurants during hockey games, concerts, or other events. We value locally grown, organic, and seasonal ingredients.

As a Sous Chef at Scandinavium, you work closely with the Head Chef and help lead the daily operations, oversee staff, and ensure food quality. Your main responsibilities include planning, preparing, and cooking food for service, as well as being a leader in the absence of the Head Chef. During service, you ensure the efficiency of the kitchen and that environmental and health standards are followed.

We appreciate development, and with us, your ideas on how we can improve things will have space. We see that our restaurant operations have great potential to surprise visitors by delivering beyond expectations. The working hours are mainly during the day, but during events, evening and weekend work is of course required.

Qualifications

We expect you to have a documented culinary education and good practical experience in the profession. As a Sous Chef, you can independently perform all tasks in a kitchen, from leadership, organization, and cleanliness to finishing touches in execution. You are a team player who contributes to developing the business and interacts with our guests and colleagues in a friendly manner. You also have good leadership skills and experience leading work in the kitchen. We value order and structure and promote openness within our department. Formal Competencies:

• Culinary education
• At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Experience working with À la carte
• Experience in baking, desserts, and bread is preferred
• Experience in event catering is a plus
• Knowledge of Excel and Word
