Your employment will be in the central organization of the School Administration for Food, cleaning, and caretaking, which is divided into 13 areas with a unit manager for each area.

Your placement will be in area 5 at Erikslundskolan. Erikslundskolan will move into newly built premises in the autumn term of 2026, where F-9 and Adapted primary school will be under the same roof. Erikslundskolan will have one of Borås City's best-equipped kitchens, where we prepare and serve about 1000 meals per day, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. You will lead a team of six kitchen staff and perform all tasks that occur in the kitchen.

As a head chef, you will be responsible for leadership, staffing, recruitment of substitutes, scheduling, and overall coordination. You will be responsible for purchasing food via e-commerce. Furthermore, you will prepare, plan, and cook together with the other kitchen staff daily good and nutritious food as well as special diets from scratch for small and large guests based on the planned menu in the food data program Matilda. You will instruct new employees, convey information to the kitchen staff, and to the receiving operations.

Together with other head chefs in the organization and the unit manager, you will actively work on the change and development of our operations. Environmental and sustainability issues are important to us, and we want you to share that commitment.

Working hours are scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday.

You who are applying should have a three-year upper secondary chef education or equivalent apprenticeship training as a chef. You have documented experience of working in restaurants or large kitchens, such as in preschools or schools. We would like you to have head chef training and/or experience in staffing planning and leadership. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience of the food data program Matilda and e-commerce in Agresso. Since the position involves both documentation and communication, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

As we place great importance on the food we prepare being good, nutritious, environmentally friendly, and safe regarding hygiene and special diets, it is important that you have a high quality awareness. As a person, you have a clear focus on the whole and have the ability to structure your work both individually and together with others. You have no problem re-prioritizing and making decisions in unforeseen events. You will meet many people during your workday, so it is important that you have a positive attitude towards your surroundings and a service-oriented approach. As a person, you are meticulous and enjoy working on many tasks simultaneously in a changing environment.
