Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
The City of Stockholm is about to establish a brand new reuse center under municipal management – a place where sustainability, innovation, and collaboration meet.
Our ambition is to create something greater than what has previously existed in Sweden – a center that not only takes care of resources but also drives development in circular economy and new business models. You will be part of creating a municipal operation with a solid foundation, expansive plans, and the opportunity to create real benefits.
We are now recruiting two key roles to take the next step in our development: a customer responsible craftsman and a production responsible craftsman. You are warmly welcome to apply for one of the roles – or both, if it suits your experience and interest.
We offer
With us, you will be involved from the start in building up an operation with significant impact and visibility. You will work closely with other colleagues at the reuse center as well as with the city's administrations, companies, and partners. We offer a permanent position at 100% with start date according to agreement, collective agreement terms, and a work environment characterized by commitment, openness, and forward-thinking. In your role, you will learn a lot about the City of Stockholm's sustainability work. We offer professional development, wellness benefits, and vacation exchange.

Your role
As a customer responsible craftsman, you will be central to the establishment and operation of the reuse center. Together with a production responsible craftsman and a unit manager, you will form the permanent staff at the reuse center. You will be responsible for selling the reuse center's services to customers and for building and managing supplier relationships and partnerships both internally within the City of Stockholm and externally. Your responsibilities also include the sale of materials at the reuse center via the digital marketplace and the administration related to this.
Your assignment is both strategic and operational and also includes:
- Planning staffing for projects
- Implementation and quality assurance of reuse inventory
- Implementation and quality assurance of reuse dismantling
- Support during training and study visits
- Handling incoming materials, inventory, and logistics
- Reconditioning of materials
- Sale of materials, both on-site and via online store
- Handling, packing, and distribution of materials to be sent to customers
- Customer service
- Cleaning
You will have a unique opportunity to shape an operation that will become a role model in reuse and circular economy.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone with experience in work management within production, construction, warehousing, or a similar field. You have experience in driving operations or projects where many actors collaborate. You are used to working with sales, budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-up and enjoy alternating work in digital tools with operational tasks. Since the work involves some lifting, good physical ability is required. You should have a B driver's license.
Preferred qualifications include experience in:
- Circular economy, reuse, or environment
- Sales, business development, or entrepreneurship
- Work in the public sector or collaboration with community-building activities
- Starting, leading, or coordinating operations in a startup phase
Personal abilities and skills
To succeed in the role of customer responsible craftsman, you need to be development- and solution-oriented. You have a strong ability to build relationships, create trust, and inspire others. You are structured and can keep complex processes together while being flexible. You thrive in a developing environment and are prepared to jump in where needed. Your commitment to sustainability and community development is a natural driving force, and you combine a holistic perspective with a pragmatic approach.
Other
This recruitment process includes psychological tests.
We recruit without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only base our decision on your CV and a number of questions you will need to answer when applying for the position. We ask that you respond concretely and briefly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
Warm welcome with your application!
