Sävsjö Municipality is a small municipality where there are great opportunities for growth. The Health and Medical Care (HS) in Sävsjö Municipality consists of 4 teams, where experienced and knowledgeable nurses, nursing assistants, and specialist nurses work. The teams also include occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants.
As a summer substitute within the municipality's health and medical care, you will have a varied job where no day is the same - your workplace is where the patient lives. You will have great freedom to plan and organize your work independently. We offer you an introduction tailored to your skills and experiences.
As a nursing assistant with us in the Municipal Health and Medical Care (HS), you will work with both planned and acute interventions in patients' homes. This can be in special housing, group housing, short-term units, or in regular housing. The target group is broad and includes both young and elderly individuals with varying care needs. As a nursing assistant, you will perform health and medical care interventions delegated or transferred by a nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include:
- Blood pressure monitoring, catheter management, wound dressing
- Venipuncture
- Medication management e.g., pill distribution, insulin administration
- Documentation in the operational system Combine
- Other tasks may also occur
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a trained nursing assistant or have completed at least 3 semesters of the nursing program. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
As a person, you are organized, responsible, methodical, and meticulous in your thinking and working style. You find it easy to plan and keep things in order; you simply enjoy having a plan and executing it while meeting deadlines.
Furthermore, you are a stable, mature, and calm person who maintains your composure even in stressful and chaotic situations. You keep a good mood even when handling setbacks and criticism.
You can and are willing to adapt to new working methods. Collaborating with others adds a lot to you because cooperation means good communication, security, and a shared vision.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good computer skills.
A B driver's license is required as a car is used in the job.
