For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.

Your role

As a Welder in the Maintenance Department for Excavation and Drilling in Aitik, you will work with welding our excavators and drill rigs, primarily in buckets. We mainly work outdoors in the field, but maintenance work in the workshop can also occur. As a welder, you are responsible for maintaining our welding truck and associated equipment. The tasks include both planned maintenance and handling of urgent incidents. All work tasks are performed in teams of at least two people, and we have close cooperation regularly with other departments. The work requires a strong safety awareness.

Your team

The workgroup is a light-hearted and cheerful team consisting of 4 welders and 8 mechanics. We highly value good cooperation and accountability in our team. We always work in pairs. We are now looking for two welders to join our team!

We work shifts - K2 - morning, afternoon, followed by a week off. On-call duty occurs.

Your contribution

We expect you, as a candidate, to have good communication and collaboration skills. You are meticulous, responsible, and have initiative as well as a desire to develop and deepen your knowledge in the mechanical field.

  • High school education in industry or equivalent
  • Practical experience in welding
  • Communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Driving license B

It is an advantage if you have a C driving license, welding certification, and/or hot work experience as well as experience in gas cutting, but it is not a requirement. It is important that you have a desire to develop; we will internally train you in what you lack for the position.

Why work with us

At Boliden, we believe in promoting a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where your contributions will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people who all work towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
