In home care, we provide service and personal care based on assessed assistance measures, in the client's home. Skövde municipality is divided into several different geographical home care areas. The operation is part of the care and social services sector of Skövde municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new employee for Skultorp's home care!

We are looking for someone who wants an exciting and developing job. In the role of a nursing assistant in home care, you have the opportunity to contribute to the quality of life for our clients. Our work is based on our guiding principles of safety, responsibility, and respectful treatment, and you are a large and important part of the client's well-being. You work carefully and professionally with clients in their home environment, in collaboration with others in the work team. This also means working for good cooperation with other professionals and relatives.

As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that our clients, based on their individual needs, receive social support and care, guidance, health and medical care, and activation. The work also includes service tasks, such as preparing simple meals, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning. The assignment also includes performing delegated and prescribed medical interventions, according to the Health and Medical Care Act (HSL).

Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work.

Within the care and social services sector, we work flexibly between different units. This means that you will also work shifts in other home care areas than the one you normally work in.

Working hours are scheduled for day/evening and every other weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a nursing assistant with us, you need to have a completed high school education from the health and care program or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have had other similar work, preferably with a special focus on dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology, and that you have previous experience of delegated tasks.

As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, placing the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, clients, relatives, and other partners both within and outside your own organization. We believe that we build a better operation through collaboration and development together with others. You find it easy to create relationships and you have a respectful approach.

A prerequisite for you to be able to work with us is that you have a B driver's license for a manual vehicle. We want to contribute to a sustainable Skövde and care for the environment, which is why it is important that you can cycle, as we, where possible, cycle to our clients.

In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the client need to understand each other, but also to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably also experience in social documentation.

Skövde municipality is a Finnish administrative area; if you have knowledge of the Finnish language, it is especially welcome.

From July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant will be a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title of nursing assistant within care and social services.
