About the position
In this role, you will be a key person in our workshop team, participating in the entire process from production to assembly at the customer’s site. You will work with machine manufacturing according to drawings in the workshop as well as assembly and commissioning at the customer’s location. The role requires technical interest, the ability to work independently, teamwork skills, and customer contact. It is a varied job where you will work with interesting technical tasks, and development opportunities are available within the company.
Responsibilities
As part of our workshop team, you will be involved in both workshop work and work at the customer’s site.
Workshop work:
- Single-piece manufacturing of machines and machine constructions according to drawings
- Turning, milling, welding, assembly, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical assembly
- Testing, painting, and delivery
Work at the customer’s site:
- Assembly, commissioning, and fine-tuning of machine systems
Other
The position is full-time, and working hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
You will be offered a permanent position with a 3+3 month probationary period at INKAB in Hjo, starting by agreement.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a technical interest and practical experience; at least 5 years of experience in workshop or mechanical work is preferred. You are social, responsible, and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You can read and use drawings, have good communication and collaboration skills, and take responsibility for your work.
It is an advantage to have the ability to understand and work in SolidWorks, including navigating the program.
Formal education is not a requirement, but a technical education is preferred, and we can adapt the role if you are an engineer.
Requirements for the position:
- Good computer skills with knowledge of the 365 Office suite
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing and the ability to read and understand English.
- Driver's license B

INKAB is a Swedish limited company in technical consulting and construction activities based in Hjo, Västra Götalands län. The company started in 2020 and operates in engineering-related consulting with a focus on drawing, design, and project management of machines and machine systems primarily for the wood industry.
INKAB also offers product and production development, installation and commissioning of systems, as well as trade in machines and machine components.
