About Us

The outpatient clinics for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (BUM) offer specialist care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old who do not require hospitalization.

We collaborate across unit boundaries. We investigate, treat, and follow up on allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal diseases, epilepsy, urinary tract infections, and growth issues. We also treat certain developmental deviations and psychosomatic problems.

The Hisingen pediatric and adolescent clinic is located in newly built functional premises with a fantastic view of the entire Gothenburg. Here, we receive approximately 34,500 children and young people from all over Hisingen.

At the clinic, we have an established collaboration with Drottning Silvia's Children's and Adolescents' Hospital, health centers, BVC, and school health services. Here, pediatricians, pediatric nurses, psychologists, dietitians, and medical secretaries work together. We have a good collaborative climate, satisfied patients, and a varied work environment.

About the Job

As a specialist physician in pediatric and adolescent medicine, we offer you a varied and stimulating outpatient work experience. You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals at the clinic. We primarily have planned activities, but some emergency slots are available for the youngest children. The position also includes work in a specialist team with BVC in our catchment area.

With a wide variety of diseases and patient ages, working as a specialist physician with us contributes to breadth, excitement, and variation. With independent investigative responsibility and the opportunity to follow patients over time, you will gain a comprehensive view of the patient and their relatives, making the work fulfilling.

The position offers opportunities for personal development both individually and together with the physician group and other staff at the clinic. You will have varied tasks and the chance to help shape how the work should be performed. We have a good collaborative climate and satisfied patients. Depending on what the organization allows, you can influence your own working hours through Regionhälsan's flexible working hours agreement.

About You

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in pediatrics. As a person, you easily build trust with patients and guardians. Furthermore, you see it as a given to maintain a professional attitude and a positive approach towards both patients and colleagues.
