Be part of shaping the future of the school!
About the Job
The European School Brussels II has approximately 3,500 students in ten different language sections divided into Nursery (4-5 years old), Primary (6-10 years old), and Secondary (11-18 years old). In total, about 30,000 students are enrolled in this school system across 13 different schools throughout Europe, with Swedish sections in Luxembourg and Brussels. This role requires high levels of collaboration and independence, but also offers an opportunity to develop in a unique environment surrounded by other languages and cultures in a wonderful international setting. Daily work-related issues are handled by the local school management.
The working language with students, parents, and colleagues within the Swedish language section is Swedish. The Swedish team in Secondary consists of 8 teachers, and together you will drive the section's joint efforts and help maintain Swedish holidays and traditions. You will also collaborate with staff from other language sections, communicating in one of the official working languages of the EU (English, German, or French).
A cultural and pedagogical exchange between staff and students is one of the core ideas within the European School. You will also have close contact with the students' guardians.
