Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable and weather-independent energy source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

Today, approximately 1,200 employees work at Forsmark, and we are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with opportunities for fantastic development for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the lovely Roslagen coast.

UL operates buses to Forsmark with wireless networks on the routes Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark, allowing you to use your travel time as working time if/when work permits. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. You also have the option to use our remote workspaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work permits.

About the Position

You will belong to a competent and dedicated group that works with mechanical maintenance, including preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM), on a variety of components. This includes pumps, valves, heat exchangers, fans, and other essential parts of the facility's systems. Your work will be central to ensuring that the facility's mechanical equipment operates optimally and that production can be maintained safely and efficiently.

The responsibilities and tasks included in this role are varied and involve mechanical maintenance at Forsmark 1, as well as at cooling water intake and waste facilities. This means you will work in a dynamic environment where safety and precision are of the utmost priority.

By participating in the daily work, you will gain a deeper understanding of the operations and the complexity of the facility, which can become a valuable reference for a continued career within Forsmark Kraftgrupp or other similar fields.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You are currently studying at the high school level; post-secondary studies are an advantage, preferably with a focus on machinery, industry, and vehicles.
  • You speak and write fluently in Swedish; English is an advantage.
  • It is an advantage if you hold a B driver's license.
  • It is an advantage if you have practical experience in mechanics.
