About the Position

You now have the chance to work as a cleaner at Hovstaskolan! We are transitioning from outsourcing cleaning services to managing our own cleaning operations, which we see as an exciting step in the school's development. We are now offering two positions as cleaners, one planned to be full-time and the other part-time. Together with your colleague, you will closely collaborate in carrying out daily tasks under the guidance of the school's administrative coordinator. In the full-time position, you as an experienced cleaner will play an important role in developing the cleaning services at our school. As we take over responsibility for cleaning, you will have a significant opportunity to influence our methods and working practices as well as be responsible for purchases and weekly planning. This position is a natural step for you who want to develop, take more responsibility, and help create the best possible cleaning services for our school.

In the part-time position, you will work on cleaning the school's premises. You will work closely with our other cleaner under the guidance of the school's administrative coordinator. Together with your two closest colleagues, you will contribute to our wonderful atmosphere and a clean and pleasant school.

Examples of Tasks:

contribute knowledge about various cleaning techniques, how to handle cleaning machines, and about different materials and cleaning products
work with awareness of workplace safety, quality, and the environment
perform daily cleaning such as dusting, mopping floors, emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and other common areas
in the full-time position, you will be responsible for purchases and weekly planning

About the Workplace

Hovstaskolan is one of Örebro Municipality's largest F-6 schools with just over 400 students and about 60 staff. The school is located about 9 km north of Örebro city center, on the outskirts of a residential area close to beautiful forest areas. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is important that you find it interesting to meet different types of individuals and that you thrive in a flexible work situation. You have a strong commitment, take great responsibility for your work, and can independently structure your work approach. You work well with others and have a responsive and pleasant demeanor towards both colleagues and students. Furthermore, you have an interest and a willingness to help others, where we see that you have a solution-oriented mindset. You have good computer skills and the ability to handle systems and programs. You have a good command of the Swedish language, where you are fluent in both speech and writing. You should be able to communicate with colleagues and other staff at the school and have an understanding of safety regulations regarding machines and chemical products.

Requirements:

completed upper secondary education
cleaning education with a professional certificate from SRY/PRYL, or equivalent training (valid certificate/proof)

Meritorious:

experience working as a cleaner in a school
experience with cleaning machines, such as a combination scrubber or similar
