We aim to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on this journey, both personally and professionally. Do you want to help shape the future of the global mining and minerals industry?
Your Role
As a research assistant in the Agglomeration Laboratory, your tasks will be many and varied. We have high-tech equipment used to drive LKAB's development forward, both in terms of our products and processes. We manufacture and analyze raw pellets and pellets in the lab. Methods and instruments vary, meaning we work on a micro scale, lab scale, and all the way up to pilot scale. In our lab data system, we register samples and report analysis results.
The role also includes mechanical work such as service, maintenance, repairs, manufacturing, etc. of our equipment. You will be an important part of a supportive team where ideas and problem-solving happen together with technicians, engineers, and researchers. Here we work closely, share knowledge, and help each other move forward.

You are handy and practically inclined, with a genuine interest in mechanics, technology, and finding solutions when challenges arise. You enjoy close collaboration with colleagues, where you support each other and share knowledge to succeed together. At the same time, you are curious and want to constantly learn new things! With us, there are many methods, equipment, and workstations to grow in, and you find it inspiring to develop in line with the business.
We expect you to have:
- High school diploma, preferably with a technical, mechanical, or industrial focus, but this is not a requirement
- Driver's license (B)
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Experience working with different systems and computers
It is an advantage if you have:
- Forklift and overhead crane certification
- Work experience from the process industry
