You will belong to the Markverkstad Norr, which is a unit within the Army Staff, AST, with about 180 employees. We operate in Boden, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Umeå, Östersund, and Sollefteå. Main Responsibilities

As a mechanic, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of light wheeled vehicles and their systems used within the Armed Forces, especially tracked vehicles and passenger cars. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance as well as modifications based on established guidelines.

The Markverkstad also has the opportunity to offer entry-level positions to junior candidates.

REQUIREMENTS qualifications

  • At least a two- or three-year upper secondary education in vehicle technology, focusing on vehicles, or other education/competence acquired through work experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Previous relevant experience as a vehicle mechanic
  • Driver's license B

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious, works well independently as well as in a team. As a vehicle mechanic, you are structured, determined, and make correct assessments and priorities. Furthermore, you are positive about the work and appreciate order and tidiness.

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of hydraulics
  • Driver's license C or CE
  • Experience working with vehicle diagnostic systems and vehicle electronics
  • AC certification

Employment form: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period

The job requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally.

The position is a civilian appointment.

Work with thermosetting plastics occurs at the workplace and involves health checks.
