International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

Inspiring School Librarian

Do you want to work in an international environment with a supportive culture? IES Växjö is the place for you. Here we care for our students throughout the school day, and our EHT team is present 100% of the time every day of the week. We have a student body of around 300 students who speak about 30 different native languages, as well as a rich international staff.

This is us! International English School Växjö opened in August 2022 and is a F-9 school with an associated after-school program. IES Växjö is a bilingual school with approximately 300 students. You need to be able to communicate with colleagues, students, and their families in both Swedish and English, including in writing.

We are now looking for a qualified librarian.

This is you! As a school librarian, you will be responsible for leading the school's library and ensuring that it is integrated into the school's educational work. You will work with various methods to strengthen students' reading, both through your own lessons and initiatives, as well as in collaboration with teaching staff and after-school personnel. You will also work to support the school's core values through work with different groups, highlighting literature, and supporting students in need of various forms of adaptations. You will also be part of the IES librarian network and receive ongoing support from the Librarian Coordinator.
