You will belong to the Markverkstad Stockholm, which is a unit within the Army Staff, AST, with about 70 employees.

Main Responsibilities
As a mechanic, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various types of vehicles and their systems used within the Armed Forces, such as trucks, combat vehicles, tracked vehicles, construction machinery, trailers, and containers. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance as well as modifications based on established guidelines.
Qualifications
- At least a two- or three-year high school education in automotive technology, focusing on vehicles, or other education/competence acquired through work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- Relevant previous experience as a mechanic.
- Driving license B.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious, works well independently as well as in a team. As a vehicle mechanic, you are structured, decisive, and make correct assessments and priorities. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt in a changing environment.
DESIRABLE
- Experience working with the Armed Forces' equipment and vehicles
- Knowledge of hydraulics
- Experience in workshop operations and material maintenance
- C or CE driving license
- Experience working with heavy vehicles
- Experience with vehicle diagnostic systems and vehicle electronics
- AC certification

The work requires travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian position.
Work with thermosetting plastics occurs at the workplace and requires health checks.
