The Role of Summer Intern at Umeå Trucks
The Volvo factory in Umeå is one of our largest factories, where we, together with 1800 dedicated employees, form one of Northern Sweden's most important industries. Here we manufacture cabs for Volvo Trucks - from steel roll to painted cab – using modern technology and skilled employees. As a summer intern at Umeå Trucks, you will work in production with all tasks such as sheet metal pressing, bodywork, and painting. The tasks may vary between operating machines or robots, driving forklifts, painting, or welding. Since most of our production sections have varying working hours, the role will also involve shift work.

We are now looking for students who want an exciting and educational summer job with us in truck manufacturing. You are a team player who, with drive and commitment, wants to contribute to our journey towards future transport solutions. In addition, we would like you to be studying a technical university degree and have an ambition to build a career within our world-leading company. Qualifications for Summer Job
To apply for a summer job within the Volvo Group, we apply a number of selection criteria. However, your unique personality and the value you can contribute to us are the most important. The following qualifications are required to apply for a summer job:
- You must be a student and intend to continue your studies in the fall of 2026.
- You must be at least 18 years old at the start of the summer job.
- You need to hold a valid B driver's license.
Education in technology, robotics, or welding is an advantage.
