JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your placement will be in the kitchen at Espedal School, which is a receiving kitchen, where we serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to students in grades F-3 and preschool, about 250 portions daily.

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who has a burning interest in food and knowledge and experience in cooking. Your tasks will include preparing meal accompaniments, salads, baking bread, etc. You will be responsible, together with colleagues, for finances, orders, purchases, and daily production with special diets, quality assurance of food. Also, self-control and other tasks in the kitchen and restaurant, such as dishwashing and cleaning, are included. You will also organize and improve work methods together with your colleagues in the kitchen team.

You will be involved in developing the operations, ensuring that set goals are met and guidelines are followed, and contributing to and working for a good working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with catering education or other training/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

You have previous professional experience as a kitchen assistant. You have good knowledge of large-scale food production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-control, and kitchen economics. The job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.
