About Us
The ambulance service in Blekinge is facing exciting challenges where new working methods are to be implemented.
We have begun our work to further develop a person-centered approach to best meet all patients with different conditions and circumstances. Today, the ambulance service consists of ambulances, assessment vehicles, and light care ambulances.

About the Job
We are looking for someone who wants to play a crucial role in saving lives. In your role in the ambulance, you will work with emergency interventions when someone has suffered an accident or illness. Work takes place both on-site in patients' homes, at accident scenes, and during transport to the hospital. The job also includes transporting patients between hospitals or other healthcare providers.
Within the ambulance service, we work in teams, and each ambulance must have at least one nurse who provides emergency care with medication management.
Duration to be agreed upon, summer 2026.
Work according to a schedule, 24/7 operations.
Placement can be offered in both Karlshamn and Karlskrona.
During the hiring process, a physical test will be conducted, and swimming ability must be certified.
Applicants who are relevant for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a war position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
About You
We are looking for a licensed nurse, with further education in ambulance, emergency, anesthesia, or intensive care being advantageous. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a care department is required.
We place great importance on personal suitability for the tasks; such as the ability to work in a team, flexibility, and working with people in vulnerable life situations. You need to have good physical fitness, be able to handle stress, and thrive with changes in pace, finding this work stimulating and varied.
To fulfill the role of a nurse within the ambulance service, you must meet the above requirements, as well as having: At least a B driver's license, and higher driving license categories are advantageous.
