Welcome to work with us! You will become a member of a friendly ST group where your opinions and knowledge will be valued as we shape the future of psychiatric care.
The psychiatry department in Sunderbyn strives to provide good evidence-based care with the patient in focus. The clinic is small enough for all employees to have an influence on the work, and large enough to provide high-quality and modern care.
We are now looking for a licensed physician. You have a solid interest in our specialty and want to help influence its future development. You should have a strong commitment to the patient group within psychiatry. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language at the C1 level; knowledge of other languages is an advantage. We place great importance on your personal qualities. You are secure, stable, and self-aware. You have the ability to make decisions and are motivated to achieve results. Furthermore, you have a high ability to collaborate, are attentive, and can adapt to others. It is advantageous for the position if you have pedagogical insight, problem-solving skills, and can lead and motivate others to effectively reach common goals.
You will work as a ST physician within psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care. As a ST physician at the psychiatry department in Sunderbyn, you will help shape the future psychiatric hospital. In collaboration with the operations manager, chief physician, and colleagues, you will drive and develop psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care. You will design an individual education plan together with your supervisor and study director, with placements in the various specialties required to achieve the goal description for specialist competence in psychiatry. Work in the primary emergency line is included in the position. During evenings, nights, and weekends, we receive patients from the Luleå, Boden, Kalix, and Piteå catchment areas. You should be able to work according to the clinic's values of having the patient at the center, which is based on the principle that all efforts are grounded in what is best for the individual.
We offer psychiatric diagnostics and treatment for adults within the Luleå, Kalix, and Boden catchment areas. We emphasize the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs and are ambitiously investing in continued development work in the areas of patient safety, flow mapping, quality, research, and staff. Significant changes and improvements are underway within both outpatient and inpatient care at Psychiatry Sunderbyn, and as a ST physician, you have the opportunity to influence the content and methods of care and are expected to participate in the ongoing improvement work within the organization. Region Norrbotten provides you with short decision-making paths, close to colleagues, and great opportunities to develop both the organization and yourself. Working in Norrbotten means shorter travel times, more time for family, and a healthy environment. The region is linked to Umeå University and conducts medical candidate education and scientific training as part of Umeå University's mission. Psychiatry Sunderbyn is actively engaged in coordinating national and international training in the form of the Masterclass Psychiatry program, which regularly organizes training in collaboration with Maudsley Hospital/Institute of Psychiatry/King's College London and Tavistock Clinic in London. We offer you a wide spectrum with opportunities for various subspecializations and focuses, such as affective disorders, psychoses, addiction disorders, or acute psychiatry, among others. You will be in a context with engaged and exciting colleagues who are also undergoing their ST at psychiatry.
