About the position
In the role of Gas Responsible Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safe handling of the hospital's gas installations, with a particular focus on medical gases. You will ensure the operation and functionality of medical gases in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. You will be part of a team of currently 23 dedicated colleagues with various competencies who together are responsible for establishing safe operations of the hospital with the help of a well-developed preventive maintenance program. Your main tasks will include:
- Perform daily supervision of the hospital's compressor center and emptying centers, as well as ordering gas cylinders and replacing them as needed
- Handle urgent operational disturbances, repairs, and troubleshooting with a high level of service
- Participate in inspections, examinations, and testing of gas installations
- Perform readings and test alarm functions
- Report deviations, risks, and improvement suggestions, and participate in the development of routines and work methods
In addition, work with HVAC and ventilation systems is included, which together constitutes about 50 percent of the job's content. On-call duty may occur in the position.
About you
We are looking for someone who is independent and responsible. You are meticulous and have a strong safety mindset. Furthermore, you are service-oriented, solution-focused, and flexible. You work in a structured manner and have good collaboration and communication skills – both with internal and external parties such as healthcare staff.
To succeed in this role, you need
- At least five years of experience working as an operations technician in property management, hospitals, or industrial operations
- Completed training in medical gases, equivalent to TIFU – Central Gas Installations
- Documented experience working with medical gases in hospitals or industry, as well as good knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards (according to SIS Handbook 370)
- Very good knowledge of property technology and handling of technically complex properties
- Good ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve faults within property technical systems, such as plumbing and electricity
- Good knowledge of control and regulation technology
- Knowledge of, and experience with, pressure testing, annual operational control, as well as performing readings and tests of alarm functions
- Experience working with administrative and digital systems for documentation and follow-up
- Driver's license B
Meritorious
- Experience with pipe installations, substations, and service
