Project Assistant in Systemic Radiation Therapy

Workplace Description
The Laboratory for Systemic Radiation Therapy at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund, within the Faculty of Medicine, conducts research in radiation biology as well as radionuclide therapy and diagnostics.

We are now looking for a full-time project assistant for our research group, starting on 14th February or by agreement, until 31st May 2026.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Cell culture
- Flow cytometry
- Western blot
- In vivo experiments - tumor measurement, weighing, health checks, subcutaneous implantation
- Immunohistochemistry
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- Master's degree in biology, medicine, biotechnology, or equivalent
- Previous experience in flow cytometry, cell culture of human cells, immunohistochemistry, and in vitro therapies.
- Knowledge of stem cell markers in cancer
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- A strong interest in research
Desirable qualifications for the position are:
- Course in animal handling
- Knowledge in tumor biology and advanced cancer biology
- Knowledge of radiation protection and handling of open radiation sources
- Experience in laboratory work, preferably outside of education
Other
The position is a SÄVA (special fixed-term employment) at 100%, with a desired start date of 14th February 2026, or by agreement, until 31st May.
