Traveling Service Technician – Nyköping

About the company

Kamet-Röbäcks is the largest producer of equipment for the concrete industry in the Nordic region. Kamet-Röbäcks is a workshop in Umeå with roots dating back to 1880. Today, the workshop spans 3000 m², more than just the small village smithy that started it all. Manufacturing takes place in Umeå and Kalajoki, Finland, with a service workshop in Nyköping and sales offices in Oslo.

The company's main business is the manufacturing and marketing of plants and equipment for handling, transporting, dosing, weighing, and mixing various materials. The equipment includes both mobile and stationary factories, plants, and ancillary equipment within the segments of concrete, asphalt, and environment.

About the position

There are customers all over the Nordic region, and today there are over 600 plants around the world. Your work area will primarily extend from Gävle and southward. If there is interest, you will also have the opportunity to work in Norway and Denmark. You will be responsible for your own service vehicle, as this is an important part of your job.

Your daily tasks will range from visiting and contacting customers for technical consultation to performing service and installing new components in factory facilities for concrete, recycling, and asphalt. In this position, you create your own daily routine while also being assigned tasks from our service organization or from the operations on-site in Nyköping.

We are looking for someone who has experience taking responsibility and enjoys not doing the same thing every day. There is practically no mass production; instead, most things are tailored to the customers' situation and needs. If you see craftsmanship as an important part of your work and enjoy being out solving problems in the field, then you have come to the right place.

This position suits you if you are a friendly person with an interest in technology and problem-solving and enjoy working with your hands. You are not afraid of getting dirty, as this is hard to avoid in the role.

• Experience with mechanical assembly in the field

• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

• Welding experience

• B driver's license

• Good language skills in Swedish and English

• Experience in the concrete industry is an advantage

• Knowledge of machines, screws, and weighing devices

• Since the job may involve climbing silos, it is important not to be afraid of heights

• Good communication skills in Swedish and English

• Responsible and self-driven

• Ability to take initiative and solve problems

• A good network and willingness to take charge is a great advantage

• A true “doer” who ensures that the job gets done
