We are now looking for more substitutes for our home care groups for the summer of 2026!
As a substitute in care and support, you will have a meaningful job with high flexibility, as well as a very important role in ensuring that our operations function as well as possible. There is an opportunity to combine with special housing or cleaning services. If you enjoy a responsible, developing, and interesting job, where you can work both independently and in a group, you might be the one we are looking for.
We offer a summer bonus for those who work at least 75% for at least 8 weeks.
Job Responsibilities
As a substitute, your work includes care and social support for people in need of help to manage their daily lives. The work is based on the individual's needs and wishes, where dialogue and collaboration are important tools to achieve high-quality care and support. By working with us, you contribute to creating an environment for the individual characterized by community, companionship, participation, and activity. The tasks include helping people in their own homes with, for example: dressing, preparing meals, serving, hygiene, and cleaning, based on a salutogenic approach. Tasks delegated by licensed health and medical personnel may also be applicable, such as administering medication. Collaboration is a very important part of your work, as you share responsibility with many other colleagues for the services that each individual has been granted.
We are looking for you who are willing to work as a substitute in one of the following locations:
- Home Care North (Myrviken & Hackås)
- Home Care South & West (Åsarna, Rätan & Storsjö/Ljungdalen)
- Home Care Central (Svenstavik)
- Night Patrol (operates throughout the municipality)
As a substitute in home care in Bergs Municipality, you will be employed within the geographical area you work in, each area is led by a unit manager, whose task is to take care of and create good conditions for you as a substitute.
Qualifications
To be considered for a substitute position in care and support, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to express yourself and understand Swedish well in both spoken and written form. You also need to be an efficient person who finds it easy to collaborate and communicate. A driver's license for a passenger car is a requirement for work within home care, as well as working evenings and weekends during certain periods. We consider it an advantage if you have education and/or previous experience in care and support for the elderly. The most important thing for us is you as a person, especially that you are efficient and professional in your work approach, and we will place great emphasis on personal qualities in this recruitment.
We work with an electronic substitute procurement system, Time Pool, which means you must have access to the internet for us to offer you work. You are responsible for entering the times you can work and responding to inquiries as soon as possible. Being a substitute can mean that the need for work can change quickly.
Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we therefore see it as an advantage if you have knowledge of the South Sámi language and culture.

We Offer
A varied and flexible job with either hourly employment or monthly employment where you get to make a difference for others - every day!
If you are employed monthly and have worked at least 75% for at least 8 weeks during the holiday period, you will also receive a summer bonus of 10,000 SEK (before tax), provided these criteria are met.
