The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in the city of Mölndal. The administration has about 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and local cleaning, water and recycling, city maintenance, and staff and customer service.

The operational area of Water and Recycling works for a sustainable future by ensuring clean water in both taps and waterways, as well as promoting more sustainable consumption with reduced waste. We do this by developing, maintaining, and improving our operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a maintenance technician who will work practically in the water and sewage network. The tasks consist of locating operational disturbances such as water leaks and sewage blockages, checking connection conditions, tracing and controlling inflows and outflows to the network, and performing other practical investigations in the network.

Your assignment also includes changing water meters for subscribers and connecting temporary water to properties as needed.

You document and report the results of your investigations, propose measures, and assist in preparing documentation to order the measures - either from the city's own organization or from external contractors.

You will work closely with colleagues primarily within the department and also collaborate with contractors involved in the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with basic education in water and sewage technology. You have knowledge and the ability to read water and sewage network maps and are familiar with different types of piping materials. It is an advantage if you have completed a diploma course in pipe network technology.

We use VA-banken as the operational system for the network. The work requires that you have good computer skills.

As a person, you are service-oriented, responsible, and meticulous. You are used to working both independently and in a group. Since the work involves many contacts with colleagues, customers, and contractors, it is important that you are easy to collaborate with and are solution-oriented.

On-call service may occur, and a B driver's license is required.
