Strandängsgatan has 3 departments with 43 resident places and 2 short-term places. During night work at Strandängsgatan, various planned resident interventions and other operational tasks are performed according to the expectation document for night workers, as well as responding to safety, movement, and deviation alarms throughout the work shift.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our work group at Strandängsgatan's special accommodation where you will work with our residents who have special care and support needs.

You will have close collaboration with colleagues on day and evening shifts as well as with coordinators, elderly pedagogues, and our nurses.

In the role of night care assistant, your duties will include providing care to residents, ongoing supervision, creating security, and following action plans.

The work requires medical care work after delegation from a nurse. Your tasks will include documentation in the journal system. It also includes washing residents' and the facility's laundry, as well as various cleaning tasks in common areas.

You are expected to have a good overview of the department so that the areas are clean and look professional.

We work to make everyday life meaningful for our residents, and therefore activities should be planned and carried out by night staff when residents want to stay up or early in the morning.

We work with the L.E.I.F method and use the digital tool Lifecare Activity Planning, which is a signing tool on mobile for all interventions to be performed for residents or the facility. You will be involved and have the opportunity to influence how the planning of night work is scheduled during Team Time with your department.

We are one house and work in teams with all work groups and are each other's working environment. Therefore, we have joint APT, team meetings, and scheduled training during the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant with a protected title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. This is a requirement. We are looking for someone who is used to receiving delegation of various health and medical tasks (medication administration, insulin, etc.).

You are quality and service-oriented and have experience in handling medical technical equipment. You find it easy to collaborate, are flexible, and have an open mind. In your work, you are engaged, unpretentious, courageous, and feel secure working alone in a department and want to help colleagues across boundaries when needed, as well as being used to collaborating with other professionals and relatives. For you to thrive with us, it is important that you want to work with the elderly and value and respect their last chapter in life. Empathy, curiosity, and the ability to look at the whole are also important qualities. If you also have a good sense of humor and enjoy trying new paths, you are exactly who we are looking for. Experience from work in elderly care is an advantage. You should have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Good computer skills and the ability to work with various systems and digital tools are necessary in daily work. We work with national quality registers and would like you to have knowledge of these.
