The Position

Do you want to work as a Section Manager in logistics with a focus on clothing materials (intendant)? Then we need you at the Supply Department in Skövde Garrison and in the work of building a stronger defense. We are looking for someone with natural leadership who enjoys both practical and administrative tasks within logistics operations. As an employee with us, the everyday life is characterized by pace, varied tasks, and good camaraderie. If you do not have experience leading this type of operation, training in the function is required, which is mainly conducted elsewhere.

About the Unit

P 4 Supply Department is part of the Logistics Unit in Skövde Garrison, tasked with providing units with the supplies and services needed for training and exercising combat units.

Main Responsibilities

The workdays are varied, involving both planning and leading the work within the Section, which consists of about 12 employees. Additionally, administrative tasks are included to ensure inventory balances in our data systems, which requires you to have very good computer skills. The work is of such a nature that you need to have good physical ability and a positive view of training; we train strength and conditioning for 3 hours a week during work hours. Heavy lifting is common, and outdoor work may occur regardless of weather and season. The Section's common tasks include inventory, customer contact, and collaboration with other Sections within the department.

• Plan and lead the work of the Section
• Personnel management including recruitment, development discussions, and skills development.
• Inventory management, issuing, and receiving clothing materials (uniforms)
• Accounting work in data systems for constantly accurate inventory balance
• Customer contact during the issuing and receiving of materials

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Ability to exercise natural leadership based on engagement, trust, and goal orientation.
• High school education or competence acquired through work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Good computer skills and experience working in PC/Network (Windows environment).
• Knowledge of the Armed Forces' uniform system
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
• Driver's license *B*
• Good physical ability, heavy lifting occurs.

DESIRABLE

• Authorization for support legs and counterbalance forklift as well as wheel loader.
• Experience with the Armed Forces' data systems such as LIFT and PRIO (SAP)

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.

Employment rate: Full-time. Normal working hours are from 07:00 to 16:00, evening or weekend work may occur. Work location: Skövde and, in some periods, Villingsberg and Älvdalen shooting ranges. Travel in service occurs for both work and training. You will be war-placed in a position within the P 4 logistics organization, which means you will receive training on what is expected of you in heightened readiness.

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 operates from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is located in Skövde, where most of the conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, will lead large parts of the army's units.
