JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a cook, you will primarily prepare meals for the inmates at the prison, but also to some extent for the staff. The tasks include all activities typical of a large kitchen, such as planning, purchasing, and preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The responsibilities also include cleaning the kitchen facilities, dishwashing, and self-control in accordance with applicable legislation. The work also involves packaging meals as all our clients eat from individual meal boxes.

Preparation of diet food and other special diets is included. The work is carried out in collaboration with staff in other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Restaurant or large-scale catering education at the high school level or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in a restaurant or large kitchen
• Chef education
• Experience working with special diets
• Experience working with self-controls
