Älmhult Municipality is hiring staff for environmental supervision

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of a team that works with supervision in the following areas:
- Contaminated areas
- Shore protection
- Small sewage systems
- Agriculture
- Wind power
- Industrial supervision
The team prioritizes together and is responsible for making equivalent assessments, providing good service to residents, and efficient processing of incoming cases. Älmhult Municipality also offers advice and business support.
The position involves varied tasks that can largely be shaped according to interest and competence. The Environmental and Building Administration reports directly to the Environmental and Building Committee, and depending on the tasks, it may therefore be part of the job to present cases for decisions in the committee.

QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, you are required to have:
- Education in the environmental field, such as environmental inspector, biologist, or environmental strategist.
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Basic knowledge of the Environmental Code acquired through work or studies.
It is advantageous if you also have:
- current experience of public authority practice,
- experience in processing shore protection or contaminated areas from municipal or state operations,
- professional experience in one of our supervision areas that provides good knowledge of how those operations function.

A driving license (B) is required as the position involves travel.
