Temporary Food Inspector
Welcome to the Environmental and Building Administration of Tingsryd Municipality! Our food inspector is on parental leave, and we are therefore strengthening our staff with a temporary food inspector.
We are the small municipality with big opportunities. With our 1200 employees, we are constantly developing and thriving. Those of us who work in the municipality make a difference and impact people's everyday lives.
The Environmental and Building Administration works to create conditions for a sustainable environment, good health, building houses, and ensuring clean water. We strive to provide our residents with a good environment to live in, both indoors and outdoors. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to sustainable development for Tingsryd Municipality, based on our unique nature, culture, and living environment. With us, you will have Sweden's most important job!
In our administration, we are a small, cohesive group with an open climate. We work closely together and support each other. We operate under a flexible workplace policy, which means that if work allows, there is the possibility to work from home 1-2 days a week and have flexible working hours.
We are now looking for a temporary food inspector for 6 months.
Do you want a job where you can help develop our municipality together with us?
Welcome to Tingsryd Municipality!
Job Responsibilities
As a food inspector with us, you will:
- Conduct planned inspections of food establishments based on food legislation.
- Write reports, follow up, and plan supervision.
- Investigate complaints and suspected food poisoning cases.

The work is varied, involving both office and fieldwork, and entails frequent contact with businesses, citizens, and other stakeholders that you should be able to meet in a professional manner. To accomplish our mission, we support each other in other supervisory areas as needed.
As a person, you are structured, enjoy working according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, and complete what you have started while meeting deadlines.
