On behalf of the government, the National Property Board of Sweden (SFV) manages our common natural and cultural heritage. We manage a diversity of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, castles and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, as well as one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land.
As employees, we are proud to work for an authority, operate based on the state’s value foundation, and contribute to positive societal development.
The operational organization within the property area of Government Buildings consists of a small operational group made up of operational technicians and park technicians/gardeners. We are now looking for one to two gardeners!
The position is a seasonal full-time employment from April to September. You will be stationed in Harpsund.
Your Role
As a gardener, you will have operational and maintenance responsibility for the land and park in Harpsund. You will independently manage the park according to our maintenance plan. You will provide good service and have daily contact with our tenants. In this role, you will work alongside a park technician and report to the operations manager. Heavy lifting may occur in the position.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has:
- education as a gardener in park and garden maintenance or equivalent experience that has given you broad knowledge in park maintenance,
- computer skills, and
- a B driver's license.
Meritorious:
- experience and knowledge in chemical-free cultivation, as we avoid chemicals in the management and maintenance of our parks,
- experience in protective pruning of park trees, shaping of shrubs, and pruning of fruit trees.
Personal Qualities
We place great importance on your personal qualities. You have the ability to prioritize, see the whole picture, and provide service to tenants as well as the public. You also have good collaboration skills and the willingness and ability to be SFV's contact with the public.
More Information
The position is a seasonal employment between April and September 2025, and we expect you to work throughout the entire period.
If you have questions, please contact the recruiting manager Michael Herrlund at phone 010-478 76 51.
Union representatives for Saco, Seko, and OFR/S can be reached via our switchboard at 010-478 70 00. More information about SFV can be found at www.sfv.se (http://www.sfv.se).
Before a decision on employment is made, a security review according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be conducted. If the employment concerns a position in a security class, the security review will also include a background check, and in some cases, Swedish citizenship is required.
The National Property Board of Sweden operates in sectors exposed to various risks of irregularities; therefore, there are positions where suitability assessments are conducted as a preventive measure.
The application deadline is 2025-01-28, and we look forward to your application and CV.
Welcome to us!
