We are continuing to grow and are now hiring to our design department at High Voltage Components Capacitors. In our design team, we foster a positive and collaborative environment where we value each other’s diverse backgrounds and skills.

As an Order Design Engineer, you will join an exciting team with one foot in Ludvika and the other in India – a place where you can grow both as a Design Engineer and as a person and deepen your technical knowledge of products that improve power quality in the grid.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Order design of capacitor banks and harmonic filters, including CAD work (Creo) for layout and detail drawings, as well as creating material specifications in the ERP system ERP-LN.
  • Lead technical projects, evaluate customer specifications, and prepare/lead design studies for delivery projects to customers worldwide.
  • Perform mechanical calculations to verify, for example, wind and seismic loads.
  • Ensure quality by reviewing designs created by colleagues.
  • Support the sales department by identifying technical solutions and preparing bid drawings.
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s working methods and tools.

Your background

  • A technical education, preferably with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in design engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical design or with similar products.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools – knowledge of Creo is an advantage.
  • Experience working in ERP systems – ERP-LN is considered a plus. Experience and/or interest in Master Data or documentation will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • As a person, you are structured and organized, with a proactive mindset. You can work independently, while also contributing actively to team collaboration.
