Your New Job

As a park worker, you will have a dynamic, varied, and enjoyable job in a cheerful team of colleagues with strong cohesion.

The position is a fixed-term employment for six months at Jönköping Municipality's award-winning Rosarium in Rosenlund. You will participate in the ongoing operation and maintenance of the park, where your tasks include lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, cleaning surfaces, planting, and pruning roses and hedges. In your daily work, you will follow a maintenance plan, which is managed in a digital system via smartphone.

The role requires you to have contact with the coordinator for the park team you are part of, your immediate supervisor, the team you belong to, and residents/visitors in the municipality where you are the face of the organization. The work is performed both independently and in groups with other colleagues. Your Qualifications

Requirements

• Driver's license (B) for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken, written, and reading comprehension)
• Good physical condition for a dynamic job

Meritorious

• High school education with a focus on gardening or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Practical work experience in similar activities where park maintenance/gardening has been part of the tasks
• Good familiarity with digital tools such as smartphones

As a park worker, you will be part of the Technical Office and the Street Park Forest Department, which is responsible for the operation, maintenance, reinvestment, and development of existing land infrastructure within Jönköping Municipality. The department manages streets, roads, squares, parks, playgrounds, nature reserves, forests, parking, harbors, ferry traffic, industrial tracks, and internal vehicle services.
