Do you want to lead, develop, and drive the work of creating sustainable and well-maintained outdoor environments? We are looking for an engaged and experienced Operations Manager who wants to take responsibility for planning, quality, and workforce management in external maintenance.

About the role

As an Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading and developing the operational activities within external maintenance. You ensure that operational tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and with high quality – and that resources are used smartly and sustainably. The role is both strategic and operational, which means you work closely with the field operations while driving planning, follow-up, and development.

You report to the Contract Manager and collaborate closely with foremen, machine operators, clients, and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for planning, management, finance, and follow-up of external maintenance
• Operational leadership and coordination of foremen, machine operators, and maintenance staff
• Planning seasonal efforts and preparedness for winter and summer seasons
• Establish seasonal plans, schedules, and resource allocation
• Ensure quality and follow up on completed work
• Identify development and efficiency opportunities
• Personnel responsibility and development of employees
• Work with workplace safety, security, and compliance with routines and legal requirements
• Participate in budget work and follow-up of operational costs
• Be the contact person for contractors, clients, customers, and other actors
• Initiate and follow up on error reports, planned maintenance, and actions
• Actively contribute to the strategic development of the organization
• Combine office work with operational presence in the areas of operation

Qualifications and experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in workforce management within external maintenance
• Education from a Nature Management School (Gardening) or post-secondary gardening education (at least 2 years), or equivalent competence
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Basic understanding of budgeting and financial follow-up
• Meritorious:
• TCYK vocational certificate
• Experience from municipal land maintenance or property management
• Experience in a leadership position

Working hours and conditions:
