Do you want to work as an assembler at ABB in Alingsås and contribute to the production of high-quality cable cabinets? We at Manpower are now looking for experienced and meticulous assemblers for a full-time consulting assignment. Here you will work in a technical production environment where assembly, hand tools, and industrial equipment are in focus. Do you have experience in assembly, forklift driving, and automated production? Then this could be the right role for you!

This staffing is a collaboration between us at Manpower and ABB. You will be employed by Manpower but work on-site at ABB.

About the job as an assembler

As an assembler at ABB, you will work with manual assembly of cable cabinets in various sizes, using hand tools such as screwdrivers and similar equipment. You will be part of an assembly team where job rotation occurs, creating variation and breadth in the tasks. The role also includes driving forklifts of type A and D1 and working with lifting equipment in daily production.

Your tasks:

  • Manual assembly of cable cabinets in various sizes
  • Work with hand tools, primarily screwdrivers
  • Forklift driving (A2, A4, B2, D1)
  • Handling of lifting equipment and safe lifts
  • Work in and around automated production
  • Participation in robot and automation recovery
  • Rotation between different assembly tasks

Additional information

Location: Alingsås Assignment start: Immediately Assignment length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension Working hours: Daytime, but shifts may occur later on

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience in assembly who thrives in a production environment where technology, quality, and safety are central parts of the work. You are meticulous, responsible, and work both efficiently and structured. You collaborate well with others but can also work independently when required. Since we work with improvement processes and safety, we would like you to have an interest in contributing to that development.

Requirements for the position

  • Experience in assembly, preferably cable cabinets
  • Familiarity with working in automated production
  • Experience in robot and automation recovery
  • Good handling of screwdrivers and other hand tools
  • Forklift license A2, A4, B2, and D1
  • Training in safe lifting

It is highly meritorious if you have a crane license.
