We at Manpower are now looking for a meticulous and experienced machine welder for an exciting consulting assignment in Trollhättan. As a machine welder at our client, you will be an important part of the production where you will work with Plasma and TIG welding according to drawings and quality standards. This staffing is a collaboration between us at Manpower and Siemens Energy. You will be employed by Manpower but work on-site at the client in Trollhättan.

About the job as a machine welder

As a machine welder, you will work with advanced welding where quality, precision, and safety are the focus. You will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and operating semi-automatic welding machines and ensuring that materials and welds meet the highest standards. The role requires both technical competence and a structured work style.

Your tasks

• Perform Plasma and TIG welding according to drawings and welding procedures (WPS)
• Set up, monitor, and operate semi-automatic welding machines
• Perform daily maintenance of welding machines
• Inspect incoming materials and ensure the correct quality
• Prepare materials, fixtures, and equipment for welding
• Check dimensions and weld quality according to drawing specifications and quality standards
• Document completed work and report deviations
• Participate in improvement work, production meetings, and quality reviews

• Location: Trollhättan
• Start date: Immediately
• Duration: 6 months, with a great possibility of extension or employment with the client
• Working hours: 2-shift (morning and afternoon)

The candidate we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a background in welding or equivalent experience. You are meticulous, responsible, and structured, with a good ability to collaborate and communicate. You thrive in an environment where quality and precision are crucial and contribute with a positive attitude to the team.

Requirements for the position

• Industrial program or equivalent welding education
• Experience in welding within the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of TIG welding (Plasma/MIG/MAG is a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols
• Knowledge of material properties, welding parameters, fixturing, and clamping
• Forklift license A2 and B3
• Overhead crane license

Meritorious

• Familiarity with LEAN/5S or similar production systems
• Previous experience in machine welding or machine operation
