The cemeteries of Härnösand Parish are a perfect place to work for those with a strong interest in gardening, who are service-minded, and enjoy working in a friendly work environment with wonderful colleagues.

We work at a fast pace and always try to have fun together.

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team that manages the parish's cemeteries, funeral chapels, and grounds maintenance around churches and parish houses. Other tasks may also be included. The tasks at the cemeteries vary greatly, where gardening is mixed with assisting our visitors.

Work during services, baptisms, weddings, and funerals may occur when regular staff are on vacation.

You will also be responsible for supervising youth employed for summer jobs. A background check is required for presentation.

Workplace: Härnösand Parish, based at the New Cemetery in Härnösand, Säbrå Cemetery, or Högsjö Cemetery.

Employment period: 2026-06-01 -- 2026-08-28.

Qualifications

Experience from similar work, gardening education is an advantage, good social skills, good ability to collaborate, service-oriented, and able to understand and express oneself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license for a manual car is required for the position.
