Lycksele Waste & Water AB is looking for a transport manager with project responsibility for the introduction of source-separated collection of packaging in Lycksele municipality

Lycksele Waste & Water AB (LAVAB) is responsible for waste and water services in Lycksele municipality. The company actively drives the development towards a more sustainable and circular society with the vision “There is no waste”. This vision means that waste is seen as a resource and that collection, sorting, and recycling are constantly being developed to reduce environmental impact and increase resource efficiency. The introduction of source-separated collection is a central part of this work.

Job responsibilities

The position includes both operational transport management and project responsibility related to the introduction of source-separated collection. A key task is to plan and optimize collection routes to ensure efficient, safe, and sustainable collection.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Plan, analyze, and optimize collection routes for both property-related collection and the collection of municipal waste.
  • Work in current systems and produce decision-making and planning materials
  • Follow up, adjust, and optimize routes based on the needs of operations and management
  • Coordinate the project's activities within the organization.
  • Establish timelines, documentation, and routines for the various sub-projects.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport management, logistics, or equivalent tasks
  • Good administrative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, drive processes, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, good computer skills
  • Driver's license B

Desirable:

  • Experience in route optimization or work in planning systems
  • Experience from waste or sanitation operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge in GIS or geographic planning

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, responsible, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to work independently, drive issues forward, and collaborate with different professional roles. Good communication skills are important in this role.

Employment form

Project employment for approximately 22 months starting in spring 2026, until December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Location: Lycksele, Sweden

Scope: Full-time, project employment.

Start date: By agreement

Salary: By agreement.
