Your mission
As a nursing assistant with us, you will provide care and support in the daily lives of the residents.

Your tasks include assisting with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, and practical chores such as laundry and cleaning. You also contribute to enabling social activities and creating community in everyday life. A central part of the mission is to create security, participation, and a good quality of life for each individual.

Your role includes documentation as well as the establishment, implementation, and follow-up of action plans. You will work in a team closely with colleagues, unit managers, and nurses to ensure that residents receive their approved services performed in a qualitative, professional, and legally secure manner. Some health care tasks are performed according to delegation.

The operation works according to the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC), a working method within social services that is based on each individual's resources, needs, and goals. IBIC aims to promote person-centered and needs-adapted support for people in need of help in their daily lives, regardless of age or disability, according to SoL and LSS.

Your working hours are scheduled for night shifts with a rolling schedule and work every other weekend. The full-time measure for night work is 34.33 hours per week.

Workplace description
Hedbacka is a care and nursing home located in the picturesque Söderala, just outside Söderhamn. The residence has 49 places distributed across seven departments, five of which are focused on dementia care and two on somatic care needs.

Each department has a cozy living room and dining room where residents can eat, socialize, and feel safe in a family-like environment. For larger communal activities, there is a spacious gathering place where we regularly arrange various events and celebrations.

At Hedbacka, we strive to create a meaningful, safe, and joyful everyday life for our residents. We offer activities several times a week, such as music sessions, baking, walks, and joint outings. All activities are tailored to each individual's interests, needs, and conditions. During the summer months, we like to use our large, lush garden for outdoor activities and social interaction.

Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has a genuine commitment to working with people, always with the resident in focus. Previous experience in elderly care or working with people with disabilities is an advantage.

Documentation and reporting are important parts of the job, which means you need to have good computer skills. The position also requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and solution-oriented. You take initiative and actively contribute your knowledge and experience to the workgroup. You are attentive and flexible and can adapt your working methods to each individual's needs and conditions.

You have good collaboration skills, communicate clearly, and handle any challenges or conflicts in a constructive manner. You can create professional and trusting relationships, and you distinguish between the personal and the professional in your interactions.

Furthermore, you have the ability to think broadly, plan and prioritize work effectively, and set and adhere to deadlines. You enjoy working independently, which is particularly important as the position is scheduled for night shifts. Previous experience in night work and comfort in working independently is therefore an advantage.
